Part 6.3 | But as I was saying

While the disposable jumpsuit printed, alphaDana pulled off handfuls of designer gauze. The bodysculpt was -- being Lola's, and expensive -- relatively easy to remove. The cheap stuff clung like duct tape; Lola's delicate synthetic flesh peeled off in long smooth strips suitable for recycling. alphaDana rubbed the last of it off her nipples and wadded it all into the DisposAll mouth. She ordered some flat black shoes with rubbery soles.

Shooting her boss had, naturally, been an accident. Worse than an accident. He was screwing someone he shouldn't have been screwing in a place he wasn't supposed to be. So he got shot and she got fired. Colin told it about that simply and for that she was reasonably grateful. He could have made it sound much worse. He could have made her sound much more ridiculous. It was ridiculous enough that her boss jacking some dip could put her in a situation where she had to spare-change Lola instead of being able to be cool and classy, sure, I'll just give you a copy. She'd minded it more in the beginning than she did now.

"But enough of that," she heard Colin say. "Let's get down to it. I need, I have, there are some questions I need to know about the answers to, things, problems. OK?"

"Sure," Vas said. "What do you want to know?"
