Moonfamer's First Letter from Director of "Incomstroi" Ltd . . . I did not expect a letter about farmer's in Kazakhstan who need a technological upgrade.
One of many reasons I picked the name moonfarmer for this weblog because farming was the first technological revolution. A revolution that transformed human society forever by allowing the creation of a large food surplus. A surplus that allowed people to spend time inventing more technology. Eventually, this lead to the invention of the internet. Imagine holding that patent.
Seriously, a bit of perspective, maybe instead of worrying about the chilling effect of web patents, we should worry about the chilling effect of world economics on the farmers and gardners in Kazakhstan and almost everywhere else in the world. The internet allowed them them to reach out, and if we can answer, then it proves the internet is "yet another farm technology."
